Teen Services

The City of Mountain View Recreation Division offers a variety of classes, camps and services to meet the needs of youth, teens and their parents. Recreation staff and contract instructors provide an asset-based, nurturing environment. The Recreation Division offers such diverse classes, that one will be right for you.

Youth Advisory Committee Applications are now available!

Interested in making a difference in your community? Join the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)! The YAC advises City Council and staff on issues related to youth and teens in Mountain View. The Committee meets twice a month, typically the 1st and 3rd Monday, at 4:30pm at the Community Center. Applications are now available for the 2014-15 School Year Term. In order to apply, you must be a current 6th-11th grade student and live in Mountain View. Download your Application HERE. Applications are due by 5:00pm on Friday, April 4, 2014. OPEN TO MOUNTAIN VIEW 6TH-12TH GRADE STUDENTS!

Welcome to The House!
The House is *NOW* open to middle school AND high school students to come hang out with their friends in a safe, fun environment! This free drop-in program is supervised by trained Recreation Leaders and offers a social atmosphere that includes homework help, billiards, arts and crafts, foosball, video games, board games, and so much more!

In order to attend The House, participants must submit a Registration Form and Rules Contract. Once completed, the participant will receive a House Membership Card. Download a Registration Form and Rules Contract Here:

Completed Registration Forms and Rules Contracts can be turned in to the Mountain View Community Center or The House Teen Center Staff.

The House School Year Hours
Monday-Thursday: 4:00-7:00pm
Friday & Saturday: 4:00-8:00pm
Sunday: CLOSED


The House will be Closed for the following holidays:
Monday, February 17, 2014 - President's Day
Monday, May 26, 2014 - Memorial Day

Teen Camps 

2014 Leader-in-Training Program

Applications are now available for the 2014 Leader-in-Training (LIT) Program! Looking for a fun way to spend your summer while learning valuable on-the-job experience? Apply today to become a LIT in one of our Recreation or Aquatics Programs! In order to apply, you must be 13-17 years old and have an interest in working with youth. LITs will assist Aquatic staff and Recreation Leaders with summer programs and help lead activities, games, sports, crafts, and field trips to various locations.

LIT positions are available in the following programs:
Aquatics Programs
Recreation Day Camps - Busy Bees & Astro Kids Adventures, Club Rec Juniors & Seniors, H2O Adventures, Camp Boogaloo, Camp Zoom
Deer Hollow Farm Wilderness Camp

To apply, complete the LIT Application and submit with a letter of recommendation to:
