Trails at Shoreline

Pedestrians, joggers and bicyclists will find a network of trails, bridges and roadways winding through the environmental belt at the north edge of Shoreline.

There are approximately seven miles of paved pedestrian and bicycling trails. To the west, trails link up with the Palo Alto Baylands for those seeking further hiking and bird-watching opportunities. East of Stevens Creek, visitors can travel to Crittenden Marsh (owned by Midpenninsula Regional Open Space District.) and San Francisco Bay. The Stevens Creek Trail originates in Shoreline at Mountain View and traveles south, connecting with the Light Rail System at Central Expressway and ending at Yuba Drive close to El Camino Real.

The interpretive signs along the trail system at Shoreline are designed for use by visitors of all ages and multiple knowledge levels. Each sign describes a basic ecological concept that interprets what is actually occurring at the site.
