Subsidized Rental Units

Palo Alto Housing (PAH)

Project Description:
On June 21, 2016, the City Council approved plans and committed funding for PAH's new 67 unit affordable rental studios.  The development, located at 1701 West El Camino Real, will provide 30 units of veteran housing with the remaining units available to extremely low-income households earning 30% AMI or less, and very low-income households with annual incomes at or below 50% AMI.  Completion of construction is anticipated for early 2018.

Resident Eligibility:  30%-50% area median income

 

Evelyn Family Apartments
ROEM Development Corporation
779 East Evelyn Ave., Mountain View

Project Description:
On March 1, 2016, the City Council approved plans and committed funding for ROEM Development Corporation's new 116-unit affordable family development located at the corner of East Evelyn Avenue and South Bernardo Avenue.  The project aims to benefit households with incomes at or below 60% area median income (AMI), with a particular focus on those who live or work in Mountain View.  Construction broke ground in October 2016 and the development is anticipated to be complete in the Summer of 2018.

BMR Rental Units

Project Description:
On December 9, 2014, the City Council approved a 164-uni apartment development at 801 West El Camino Real.  The development includes 5 BMR rental units, 4 one-bedroom and 1 two-bedroom units, that will be affordable to 50%-80% area median income.  Construction is anticipated to be complete at the end of 2017.

Project Description:
On November 12, 2014, the City Council approved a 52-unit condominium project at 1101 West El Camino Real.  The Project includes 5 new ownership BMR units that will be affordable for up to 50% area median income (AMI).  Construction is anticipated to be complete in the summer of 2017.
