Senior Center Rental

The Senior Center, located at 266 Escuela Avenue, is conveniently located at the south end of Rengstorff Park.  The Senior Center can be recognized by its modern architecture, beautiful landscaping, and pathways that offer convenient access.

Highlights of the Senior Center include:

  • Available for exclusive use in the evenings and on weekends for private events.
  • Banquet room that can accommodate up to 200 people for dining with private patio and large commercial kitchen.
  • Several auxiliary rooms that accommodate groups between 10 and 80 people.
  • Large Game Room that includes ping pong tables and pool tables.
  • Plenty of parking and easy access to Rengstorff Park.
  • Tables and chairs available and included with rentals.

Facility Fees as of September 1, 2015

Peak = Thursday & Friday 5:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. AND Saturday & Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00midnight
Off-Peak = Monday - Wednesday 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.  AND Thursday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Private rentals during Off-Peak hours must be Senior-focused/oriented.

Reservations must be made at least 10 days prior to your event.  All social gatherings require a cleaning and damage deposit as well as insurance. Insurance can be purchased from the City of Mountain View or provide your own (specific insurance requirements must be met).

The City of Mountain View has an approved vendor list for vendors that already have their insurance on file with the City. Please review the Approved Vendor List for vendor options for your meeting, class or social gathering.

*Nonprofit - Nonprofit organization whose service area includes Mountain View or is a Mountain View-based community group.
**Fundraising - Must be conducted by a Mountain View based nonprofit organization and meet specific criteria (one time a year). All rentals require a cleaning/damage deposit and a certificate of insurance. 

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made six (6) months or more prior to the date of the event, will receive a refund of the deposit, minus a $10.00 processing fee.
  • Cancellations made less than six (6) months, but no later than three (3) months, prior to the date of the event, will receive a refund of the deposit, minus 10% of the rental fee, minus a $10.00 processing fee.
  • Cancellation made less than three (3) months, but no later than one (1) month, prior to the date of the event, will receive a refund of the deposit, minus 25% of the total rental fee, minus a $10.00 processing fee.
  • Cancellations made less than one (1) month prior to the date of the event, will receive a refund of the deposit, minus 50% of the initial rental fee, minus a $10.00 processing fee.

Payments made with a credit or debit card will be refunded back onto the card used for payments. Cash and check refunds will be done via a City check that will be mailed to the address on file.
