Drugs found in Hope Street home, two arrested

Two Mountain View residents were arrested Tuesday evening after a search warrant served at their home resulted in the discovery of several drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Samuel Rowles, 39, and Elideth Rodriguez, 33, were arrested after Mountain View detectives went to their home on the 700 block of Hope Street following an investigation that led them to believe the home was a serious safety risk.
During a search of the home, a pistol was found as well as magazine rounds and ammunition in multiple calibers. A pried-open ATM machine, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were also discovered inside the home.

Rowles and Rodriguez were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on charges of felons being in possession of a firearm and ammunition, maintaining a drug house, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

While the pair has been arrested, we are still actively investigating this case. We are hopeful, however, that neighbors on Hope Street see some improvement in their area. We appreciate those of you who came out to ask us on Tuesday what was going on, and we wanted to update you on the progress of the case.
