Cancer is a disease that in some way has touched everyone.
Whether it is a friend, family member or yourself who has been directly affected by cancer, it is a disease that has a huge impact on people's lives. After being diagnosed with and beating Breast Cancer, I knew there was something I needed to do to give back and to help those effected by all forms of cancer. I realized that no one should go through the cancer journey alone and Cancer CAREpoint provided me with a means to realize that I was not alone in the fight.
The Pink Patch Project blended my career in law enforcement with a cause which is very personal to me. Mountain View PD supported the project and the Mountain View Police Officer Association sponsored the purchase and has allowed for all of the sales of the MVPD Pink Patch to be donated to Cancer CAREpoint of Silicon Valley. Together, let's go pink. No one fights alone, and no one ever gives up.
If you would like to help support Cancer CAREpoint, or if you would like to honor someone in your life who has battled cancer, who is battling cancer, or who has beat the disease, you can do so by purchasing a Pink Patch of your own! Each patch is only $10, and all proceeds go to Cancer CAREpoint. To purchase a patch, just email Jodie Pierce at MVPDpinkpatch@mountainview.gov.
