Shoreline at Mountain View is a 750-acre wildlife refuge and recreation area with the majority of that acreage being located over a closed landfill. Located along San Francisco Bay, Shoreline provides gorgeous views, excellent outdoor activities and excellent habitat for a variety of protected and regular species. If you wish to visit, Shoreline is open from 6:30 a.m. until 30 minutes after sundown, seven days a week.

40th Anniversary of Shoreline at Mountain View

Shoreline at Mountain View regional park opened to the public in 1983 and marked its 40th anniversary in a number of ways in 2023, including a speaker series celebrating the past, present and future of Shoreline. A recording of each event is available on the City's YouTube channel.
