Batting cage rentals at the Shoreline Athletic Fields (2450 Garcia Avenue) are available in 30 minute increments, with a maximum of two reservations per day, for up to four (4) people. Reservations are available in 30-minute increments, with a maximum of two reservations per day, for up to four (4) people. All participants must be 18+ years of age. At this time, the pitching machine is setup for baseball use only. Pitching machine baseballs will be provided. Reservations must be completed at least five (5) days in advance.

Reservation Hours

Reservations are available Monday through Friday and times vary by day. To confirm if your requested day/time is available, email Stephanie.Lum@MountainView.gov.

Rental Fees

Mountain View Resident: $20/half hour
Non-Resident: $25/half hour

Reschedule / Cancellation Policy

Reschedule request and cancellations must be submitted via email to Stephanie.Lum@MountainView.gov at least three (3) days prior to rental. All reschedules and cancellations are subject to a $10 processing fee per transaction.

What type of ball is in the pitching machine?
Currently, we are offering pitching machine baseballs. Staff are exploring the option of expanding to softball in the future.

How many people can attend my reservation?
The renter may bring up to three (3) participants with them, so including the renter, there is a maximum of (4) participants per reservation.

Can my child use the batting cages if they are a minor?
At this time, all participants must be at least 18+ years of age.

What equipment do I need to bring?
Renters are required to bring their own bats. Batting helmets will be required when in the cages. Renters are highly encouraged to provide their own helmet

I am a baseball trainer. Can I rent the batting cages for training sessions?
No. The batting cages are available for recreational use only. Trainings or any other kind of commercial use is prohibited.

When do I need to pay for my reservation?
Rental fees are due in full at time of reservation.

How many reservations can I make?
Renters can book as many time slots as they want but are limited to two (2) reservations per day.

If I book two time slots back-to-back, do I get to use the 15-minute increment in between the two time slots?
Yes, renters who book two time slots back-to-back will be able to continue use during the 15-minute increment between the time slots if they wish.
