Mountain View, Calif.- On April 5, 2024, at around 5:57 AM, MVPD officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of North Rengstorff Avenue on a report of a disturbance involving several persons and a gunshot being fired.
No gunshot victims were located at the residence. However, soon after the initial call, a gunshot victim arrived at El Camino Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury to his lower extremity. He is expected to survive.
Officers responded to the hospital and detained two subjects who were associated to the gunshot victim. A firearm was located in their vehicle.
At this time, MVPD Detectives are still interviewing witnesses and investigating this incident. Nothing so far suggests there is any outstanding threat to the general public. It is unknown what, if any, charges may be filed against which persons involved in this incident.
