The Performing Arts Committee (PAC) was established to serve as a forum, for both the community and the region, for matters relating to the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. The Committee consists of five members.
The general functions of the Committee include:
- Acting in advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to the performing arts
- Increasing community involvement in the performing arts by raising awareness and facilitating the use of City-owned and operated performing arts venues by Mountain View-based community and/or other local organizations with special attention to underserved and/or underprivileged residents
- Promoting synergy between performing artists, performing arts professionals and the community through outreach programs
- Promoting the booking of quality programs which reflect a programmatic mixture of theatre, music and other performing arts
- Encouraging the use of multimedia resources which make the arts accessible to the widest possible audience

Meetings
The Performing Arts Committee meets the third Wednesday of each month at 6:15 p.m. in the following location:

The Downtown Committee meetings are available in hybrid format for public participation. To attend the meeting virtually, instructions are available on the posted meeting agenda. Please note, meeting dates and location are subject to change.
