The City of Mountain View Public Safety Advisory Board was established in 2020 to advise and make recommendations to the City Council, City Manager and Police Chief on public safety matters.
The Public Safety Advisory Board serves solely in an advisory capacity and is tasked with:
- Providing the City Council, City Manager and Police Chief with community informed input and recommendations on public safety matters
- Serving as a forum for public discussion of public safety matters, including community policing concepts, furthering MVPD engagement and transparency efforts, and identifying best practices
- Acting as a liaison between the community and Police Department

The Public Safety Advisory Board generally meets at 7:00 pm on the fourth Thursday every other month (with adjustments as needed) in the following location:

The PSAB meetings are available in hybrid format for public participation. To attend the meeting virtually, instructions are available on the posted meeting agenda. Please note, meeting dates and location are subject to change.
